Sowing Time: October–November or February–April
Plant Out: Direct sow or transplant seedlings February onwards
Harvest Time: May–July (approx. 12–16 weeks from sowing)
Spacing: Plant 15–20 cm apart in rows 30 cm apart
Height: Grows approx. 30–45 cm tall

Why grow it?

How to grow: Sow outdoors October–November for an early crop, or February–April for summer harvests. Sow seeds 5 cm deep, spacing 15–20 cm apart in rows 30 cm apart. Support plants if needed. Harvest when pods are well-filled and beans still tender.
Cooking / usage ideas: Enjoy young beans steamed, in risottos, pureed into dips, or simply tossed with butter. Older beans can be double-podded for a sweeter taste.
