Welcome to Moffat Seed Library

Moffat Seed Library launched in March 2023 as a way to swap, save, and share seeds within our Upper Annandale communities. Our mission is to foster a culture of sustainability, resilience, and connection through growing. We aim to bring together local gardeners to share their knowledge and resources.
Inspired by Lockdown
The idea for Moffat Seed Library was born during the COVID-19 lockdown, when seeds sold out almost overnight. We realized how important it was to ensure everyone had access to seeds, even in uncertain times. This experience sparked the creation of the seed library — a space to help local communities grow, share, and sustain their own food systems.
