How to grow: Sow direct outdoors March–July in well-drained soil. Sow thinly, 1 cm deep, in rows 20 cm apart. Keep soil moist. Thin seedlings to 5 cm apart. Protect from carrot fly with fine mesh. Harvest when roots are about finger-thick for best flavour.
Cooking / usage ideas: Perfect raw for snacks, grated in salads, or cooked in soups, stir-fries and roasts.
