How to grow: Sow outdoors March–August or under cover for earlier crops. Sow thinly, 0.5–1 cm deep, in rows 25 cm apart. Thin seedlings to 20–25 cm apart. Keep soil moist for crisp leaves. Harvest outer leaves as needed or cut entire heads when firm.
