How to grow: Sow direct outdoors April–June. Sow thinly, 1 cm deep, in rows 40 cm apart. Keep soil moist and weed-free. Thin seedlings to 20 cm apart for good root development. Harvest from November onwards. Flavour improves after cold weather.
Cooking / usage ideas: Delicious mashed with butter, roasted, or added to soups, stews, and casseroles. Sweet flavour perfect for winter comfort food.
