How to grow: Sow indoors April–May in pots or modules, or direct outdoors once soil has warmed. Transplant seedlings late May–June, spacing 20–25 cm apart in a grid to ensure good pollination. Water well during dry spells, especially when flowering. Harvest cobs when silks turn brown and kernels produce milky juice when pressed.
Cooking / usage ideas: Enjoy boiled or steamed straight after picking, grilled on the barbecue, or kernels cut off the cob for salads and salsas.
