Description
Biennial, previously known as Meconopsis horridula.
Surface sow between January and March indoors. Prick out into 3 inch pots and grow on outdoors from early April.
Once the plants are about 2 inches tall, plant out into final flowering position. They will do well in large planters or open ground.
In late summer the foliage will die back to a resting bud, so mark the position of the plants carefully. Growth restarts in late winter with flowering beginning around early May.
There should be plenty of seed produced as long as they are planted in small groups.
Seed donated by Ken Hargreaves.
