  • More bolt-resistant than true spinach
  • Harvest again and again from the same plants
  • Easy and reliable for beginners

How to grow: Sow outdoors March–August or under cover for earlier crops. Sow thinly, 1.5–2 cm deep, in rows 30–40 cm apart. Thin seedlings to 25–30 cm apart. Keep soil moist for tender leaves. Cut outer leaves regularly to encourage new growth.

Cooking / usage ideas: Use raw in salads when young, or cook like spinach in soups, stir-fries, or steamed as a side dish.
